History

Blue Spruce Chapter came into being, through the dedicated effort of our beloved State Regent, Mrs. Warden Lee Braerton, whose daughter, Emily Louise Braerton Peters, was confirmed on June 7, 1951 by the National Board of Management to be our Organizing Regent.  The Chapter was originally organized to meet in the evening for the convenience of young mothers and working women, however, for the 2007-2008 year we had luncheon meetings.

 Chapter Name

Blue Spruce Chapter was named for the Blue Spruce tree which grows naturally in a limited area of the mountainous regions surrounding us.  It is considered a native species of Colorado, and is the official state tree of Colorado.
